Cabins, pitches and boat rentals

At the campsite you can rent cabins or pitches for tents, caravans or campers. The campsite is by the sea and is partially adapted for disabled people.

If you are looking for a camping holiday with long fishing trips and gentle midnight sun, then Polarcamp is the perfect holiday destination for you!

Paradise? Not far away! We are surrounded by deep valleys and long fjords. The fjords are full of fish, eagles soar in the sky above, looking for easy prey, and living at the inner end of the fjords are a seal colony and pilot whale. The campsite is right on the Arctic Circle, and not far away is Norway’s biggest glacier, Svartisen, carpeting the mountains all year round.

Peace and quiet

Here at Polarcamp you can relax and have a shower – our showers are free. The campsite is 3 km from the Kilboghamn ferry quay on the Coastal Route (Fv7) in Nordland, which means that a good night’s sleep is waiting for you here, with virtually no traffic. The campsite has been here for more than 45 years, and we now have 10 cabins, 40 caravan pitches, a large grassed area for tents and several boats for hire.

Enjoy

You will be greeted with a warm welcome in our fully-licensed café, which has indoor and outdoor seating areas. Taste our local version of fish & chips!
If you would prefer to make your own food, we have a communal kitchen and barbecue huts, where you can grill your food over an open fire. The atmosphere round a campfire is just as good as it was 2000 years ago.
And we are the only campsite in Norway with our own spring water on tap. You will never taste better drinking water!

Live

Around Polarcamp there are excellent opportunities for outdoor activities like mountain hiking, climbing, kayaking, fishing and island hopping. In peak season, we also offer adventure trips on a big boat to the fantastic Nordfjord. There you can see seals, eagles and a whale. People come here from all over the world to experience the exotic natural environment.
