The barnhouse

Come stay with “fjøsnissen”.
Here you get to stay a little to yourself, along with a good view. The barn has been converted into a little red house, and the animals moved out several years ago.

The barnhouse offers a unique and charming experience. There are three beds in the loft. The authentic beds have been given new and comfortable mattresses. In addition, you can rent Låveloftet if you want one more bedroom.

The apartment has a kitchen and a dining area with 4 chairs. The kitchen consists of a refrigerator, stove, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, and all you need of kitchen utensils.

The living room also has two sofas and a big TV. The apartment has a large bathroom with a toilet and shower. The entrance area has ample storage space for both clothes and fishing equipment, in addition to a freezer. Your car can be parked on the gravel road outside. (Avoid parking on the grass).

Some fun facts about “fjøsnissen”, who lived here in the old days.
Fjøsnissen was a very strong little man, “no bigger than a horse’s head”, with a long beard, dressed in gray clothes and a red Santa hat. He looked after the farm and the animals. Until the 19th century, it was common to believe that nisse (elves) existed, and people put out porridge for the fjøsnisse on Christmas Eve as a thank you for his help. And if he did not get porridge, he played pranks. For example, tying the cows’ tails together.
